From our International Coordinator
January 6, 2025
“Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, ‘Shall a child be born to a man who is one hundred years old?’ …”. (Genesis 17:17 – NKJV)
“Then God said: … ‘and you shall call his name Isaac…’ …” (Genesis 17:19 – NKJV)
“And the Lord said to Abraham, ‘Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?’ ‘Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return …”. (Genesis 18:13-14a – NKJV)

My dear Lydia sisters,

May this letter find you well and strong, faithfully waging war with His Word on behalf of families, communities, the Church, and the nations.

Is it not so interesting that the Lord, knowing that His plan was so impossible for Abraham and Sarah to believe, that it would cause them to laugh, and He would then choose Isaac’s name as a reminder of their unbelief? Isaac, meaning ‘he laughs’ or ‘may God smile upon him’, became a constant reminder of God’s greatness. But we also notice the timing – ‘at the appointed time’.

There are many impossibilities before our eyes, yet also so many miracles. We stop and think: ‘Did this really happen?’ And that is what is before us in 2026. God is moving in amazing ways, and we must be able to perceive it and give Him the glory! May we truly love the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind and with all our strength.

May the Father of glory give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what the hope of His calling is (from Ephesians 1:17-18). This verse ends up inviting us to know what the riches of His inheritance in the saints are. Wait a moment: His inheritance? Doesn’t He possess all things? Isn’t He the One who prepares for us an inheritance? I’m convinced that we, His Church, are the ones who can make God richer (!) by bringing more souls into His Kingdom. And our ministry as intercessors is fundamental now in the end times, to bring in the final harvest of souls. Souls are real riches!

I’m pleased to announce that Lydia Fellowship International is now on YouTube, due to the hard work of Lydia Team in New Zealand, to whom we say Thank You. I’m transcribing below their instructions:
The Lydia YouTube channel is live! The name is "Lydia Fellowship International teachings on prayer" to be sure we are distinct from the other group using the name Lydia. There are some recordings from Campbell and Shelagh, a couple of videos of June Dooney sharing summaries of Lydia literature teaching and one recent teaching done over a zoom meeting. There are other videos ready that will be released at intervals to keep the channel content developing.
Here is the link to the channel that can be shared with Lydians:

If people subscribe to the channel, they should receive a notification when new videos are released.
As more Lydia ladies begin to access our channel, we hope it will start appearing in more people’s searches, helping us reach a wider audience. Ultimately, it’s in God’s hands! 🙌
Once you find one of our videos, please look for the “Subscribe” button. If you click it (while logged in to your YouTube account), you’ll receive notifications whenever new videos are released.
Subscribing also makes it easier to view our entire channel. The layout may look different depending on whether you’re using a TV, phone, or computer, so I won’t go into the details here. Feel free to explore—just look below the video for more options. I’m sure you’ll figure it out!
Please note, all the older teachings (including Campbell, Shelagh, and Joy Dawson) are currently audio-only, so there won’t be any visuals. There are ways to add images to these in the future—something we hope to learn soon!

Let’s laugh at the impossibilities before us, and persevere in our call to intercession, because nothing is too hard for the Lord! May His blessing be upon you to know His ways, and not only His acts (Ps. 103:7).

Your Lydia sister in the Lord,
Debora

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers”.
(Galatians 6:9-10 – NIV)
“So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up or quit. Right now, therefore, everytime we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith”. (Galatians 6:9-10 – MSG)
My dear Lydia sisters,

May this letter find you well and strong, faithfully waging war with His Word on behalf of families, communities, the Church, and the nations.

As we begin a new year, with so many needs around us, some intercessors are becoming exhausted just to think of the challenge ahead of us. My intention, with this letter, is to encourage you not to give up! Very strong in my heart is a message I heard from Campbell McAlpine, Shelagh’s husband, back in 1987 when we had a South America Lydia Conference in Rio de Janeiro: we can talk to Father God any moment and in all ways!! At that time, Campbell encouraged us to feel free to send God just a telegram, which translated into today’s language it would be a SMS or a WhatsApp message.

Although as Lydias we cherish our time praying together, in small groups, presential or electronically, and we value starting our meetings with Steps to the Throne because of the wisdom concealed in Shelagh’s strategy, we will be able to peacefully wait for Jesus’ Heart if we have already cleared our hearts of the known needs around us. All our prayers are a sweet aroma unto the Lord and, as intercessors, that’s our work in the Kingdom. THAT IS doing good to those around us. So, don’t hesitate to, at all times, send God quick prayers, short enunciations that can be only the precious name “Jesus!” over a situation before your eyes or in your mind. Each prayer, short or long, is strong and effective! Believe it! The power is not in us, it is in the complete work of Jesus Christ!

And what about the harvest we are expecting to reap if we do not give up? “I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest” (John 4:35 – NIV). The harvest is everywhere. Daily salvations, Church growth, healings, miracles, etc. Some bad news? Well, yes, but God can bring good out of that, even a greater knowledge of Himself. Let’s praise Him even in the darkness or in the absence of a specific answer. He is the Lord!!

“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people” (Ephesians 1:18 – NIV).

Your Lydia sister in the Lord,
Debora
