India
There are many Christian women in India who pray fervently for their situations and for their families, their own churches and communities and nation. Yet we believe the need of the time is for God's children to learn to listen more intently to His voice and to intercede for others in accordance with His will. If you have a burden to interceded and would like to know more about Lydia Fellowship International in India, please contact us.

God is calling us all to pray during this time of extreme trial. We need to be very concerned for the situation. Once I started to pray, I felt the Lord impress on me “My peace I give you” (John 14:27). I want to keep receiving and keep releasing His peace to the fearing world around. Numbers 25:12-13 has also been impressed on me – where the Lord offers to Phinehas His ‘covenant of peace’ because he has been zealous to stop the plague. I believe that the Lord is listening to our prayers and will stop this pandemic.
Please pray for the people, the governments and leaders of India and South Asia:
The people are very frightened about what is happening and all the unknowns.
- Indian’s 1.3 billion people have been in extended ‘lockdown’ since 24 March
- The Indian government faces huge challenges due to coronavirus and subsequent economic damage has been added to the existing challenges of national and state governments. The very many poor people are the ones who are worst affected.
- Millions have been left jobless with insufficient food or money for their basic needs. With supply chains struggling Government has started distributing food, but it is not reaching everyone in need. There have been fights over food.
- Thousands of migrant workers in India are ignoring the lockdown and walking back to their villages after transport was stopped; for some this is a very long way. It has become a mass migration not seen since partition in 1947 (BBC News).
- There is deep concern that the COVID-19 virus will spread in the slums of the megacities and that affected migrants take it to their villages (www.covid19india.org).
- South Asia has nearly five times as many unreached people groups (3,436) than any other region of the world (www.joshuaproject.net)
